The Construction sector has different regional and regional agreements. If the region in which you operate does not have a specific agreement, the prevailing standard is the State Agreement. This agreement indicates the obligations that construction companies have to guarantee the protection of their employees. It is therefore a compulsory insurance.
Any company operating in the Construction sector and employing staff under the Convenio de Construccion, is required by Law to have this Group Personal Accident cover in place.
The accident insurance makes a single payment in the event of death or disability due to an accident. In the event of death, the payment is made to the beneficiaries designated in the policy.
The level of cover required will vary from one agreement to another, but the State Agreement requires a minimum of 47,000 Euros for
- Death due to an accident at work.
- Absolute permanent disability due to an accident at work.
- Major disability due to accident or illness at work.
- Temporary, permanent or partial disability.
- Hospitalisation allowance.
